Full job description

Join a well-established family business with a strong local reputation in domestic appliance repairs and sales. We’re seeking a proactive engineer who can work independently and as part of a small team.

The Role

Attend and manage service calls covering the local area across County Durham, Bishop Auckland, Darlington and surrounding areas
Diagnose faults on a variety of domestic appliances and models and provide accurate pricing
Carry out repairs safely and efficiently
Ability to safely lift and manoeuvre heavy domestic appliances as part of installation and repair work
Deliver excellent customer service in all settings

Requirements

Experience in domestic appliance repair is desirable, but candidates with a strong interest in the industry and a willingness to learn will also be considered for a trainee role
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
Ability to repair a range of domestic appliances
Good organisation and ability to manage service calls effectively
Friendly and professional customer service skills
Able to work independently and as part of a small team
Full UK driving licence with a good driving record preferred or working towards driving requirement may be considered
