We are looking for a proactive and hands-on Neighbourhood Ranger Team Leader to lead and support a team delivering high-quality environmental services across our communities.
About the role
In this role, you’ll ensure our neighbourhoods are clean, safe, and well-maintained, while driving service excellence and maintaining compliance with health and safety standards and legislation. You’ll work both on-site and across multiple locations, leading by example and always ensuring operational efficiency. You’ll play a key role in improving communities and delivering essential services that make a real difference to residents’ daily lives.
Key Responsibilities include:

Lead, motivate, and manage a team of Neighbourhood Rangers

Conduct one-to-ones, appraisals, and probation reviews
-
Manage absence, annual leave, and performance issues
-
Deliver training, inductions, and toolbox talks
-
Identify development needs and support team growth
-
Oversee daily operations across cleaning, caretaking, grounds maintenance, and waste services
-
Ensure high standards are maintained across all sites and services
-
Carry out risk assessments and safety inspections
-
Maintain equipment and ensure all compliance checks are completed (e.g. PAT testing, fire safety)

Report incidents and hazards via the appropriate systems (e.g. OSHENS)

Manage challenging environments including hazardous waste and biohazards safely
Our ideal candidate for this role is someone who:

Proven experience leading or supervising a team in a similar environment
-
Strong knowledge of health & safety regulations and best practices
-
Ability to manage multiple sites and priorities effectively
-
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
-
Experience within environmental services, facilities, estates, or similar
-
Full UK driving licence (essential)
