Job Overview
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Office Furniture Fitter / Installer to join our growing team based in Crediton, Devon. This is a hands-on role involving travel to customer sites across the UK, where you will assemble and install office furniture to a high standard.
No previous experience is necessary as full training will be provided, making this a great opportunity for someone practical, motivated, and keen to learn a new trade.
Key Responsibilities:
- Driving to customer sites throughout the UK
- Assembling and installing flat-pack office furniture and equipment using hand and power tools
- Loading vans ready for the next day’s workload
- Preparing furniture in advance to improve installation efficiency
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and professionally
- Collaborate with clients and team members to ensure installation meets expectations
- Follow health and safety procedures diligently at all times
- Representing the company positively on customer sites
Working Hours:
- Standard hours: 8:00am – 5:30pm
- Includes two 3:00am starts per week
- Overtime rate is £20.13 and paid before 6:00am and after 6:00pm
Requirements:
- Must be 25+ years old for vehicle insurance purposes
- Full UK driving licence required
- Experience driving 3.5 tonne vans preferred
- Green CSCS Labourer Card advantageous, but not essential
- Good attitude, punctuality, and willingness to work away on occasions/travel nationwide
- Practical skills and ability to use hand tools beneficial
