About us

Abacus Glasgow is a firm of Chartered Accountants and Business Advisers in the popular area of Glasgow. Abacus Glasgow are currently recruiting for Accounts Assistant to join our talented and welcoming team.

Duties will include preparation of accounts; VAT and tax returns; accounting software processing and ad hoc duties as required.

We are looking for an Accounting Assistant to join our team and help with the day-to-day financial operations of our organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing and filing tax returns, reconciling accounts, and providing general accounting support. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and review financial statements.
Maintain and update financial records.
Perform basic bookkeeping tasks such as entering data into accounting software.
Prepare and review invoices and other documents related to accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Assist with budget preparation and tracking of expenses.
Reconcile bank statements and credit card statements.
Assist with payroll processing.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From £25,000.00 per year
