We're looking for a Trainee Installation Engineer to join our growing installation team. This is an excellent opportunity to build a long-term career in the specialist world of stage lighting, audio visual and entertainment technology, with full training provided from day one.
Working alongside experienced engineers, you'll help install cutting-edge systems in theatres, schools, performance venues, universities and commercial buildings throughout the UK. Every project is different, giving you the opportunity to develop valuable technical skills while working with the latest professional equipment.
No previous experience is required—just a positive attitude, a willingness to learn and pride in producing high-quality work.
What You'll Be Doing
As part of our installation team, you will:
- Assist with the installation of professional stage lighting, audio visual and associated electrical systems.
- Learn how to install, test and commission industry-leading equipment.
- Load, transport and safely handle equipment and materials.
- Use hand and power tools under the guidance of experienced engineers.
- Work safely on construction sites while following health and safety procedures.
- Help maintain a clean, organised and professional working environment.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is:
- Enthusiastic and eager to learn.
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
- Practical with good hands-on skills.
- Interested in construction, engineering, electrical work or technology.
- Physically fit and comfortable carrying out manual work.
- Able to work well within a team.
- Happy working at different locations and occasionally at height (following training).
Previous industry experience is not required.

Working Hours
- Average of 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
- Working hours are flexible to meet project requirements.
- Typical site hours fall between 7:00am and 5:00pm.
- Early finishes on Fridays are regularly available where project schedules permit.
- Occasional evening and weekend work may be required, with overtime paid at enhanced rates.
