Full job description

We are seeking an Experianced Wood Machinist to join our busy workshop in Farington. This is a full‑time, permanent role for an experienced individual who can operate a range of woodworking machinery safely and efficiently.

The successful applicant must demonstrate a conscientious attitude, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to producing high‑quality components. Punctuality and reliable attendance are essential.
Wages will be negotiable depending on age and experience.

Role Responsibilities

Setting, operating, and maintaining woodworking machinery (e.g., spindle moulder, planer, bandsaw, crosscut, CNC if applicable)
Producing accurate components to specification
Working from technical drawings and supervisor instructions
Conducting quality checks to ensure all work meets required standards
General workshop duties as required
Assisting with loading/unloading materials when needed

Hours & Contract

Full-time, Permanent
38 hours per week over four days (Monday–Thursday)
During busy periods, Friday morning overtime may be required

Requirements

Previous experience as a wood machinist is essential
Ability to work safely and confidently with workshop machinery
Strong work ethic, dedication, and commitment to quality
Ability to work well within a team and follow instructions
