An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, motivated and enthusiastic RMN/RGN to join our award-winning team on Garner Ward (Dementia Inpatient Services).

This job is currently only open to people who already work for the NHS in Cornwall or the Isles of Scilly.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will provide effective and efficient clinical leadership within the defined clinical area, ensuring care delivery meets and addresses the issues of spirituality, equality and diversity and rights in accordance with good practice and legislation.
Act as a role model for junior staff in a manner that positively reflects the values of the organisation in a way that will ensure effective communication pathways exist with internal and external stakeholders aimed at developing current models of care.
The post holder will be expected to engage and motivate colleagues to generate and implement ideas to nurture a culture of quality improvement.

We’re an NHS community and mental health provider Trust based in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. We deliver community and hospital-based care to improve people’s physical and mental health. We also provide specialist support to people with dementia or a learning disability.

Essential criteria

Current professional registration – NMC.
Significant experience post qualification.
RMN/RGN
Degree level qualification relevant to ward setting supplemented by specialist training and development or equivalent experience

Desirable criteria

Experience of working in a supervisory role

Essential criteria

Proven leadership skills.
Able to prioritise workload and manage stress in self and others.
Proven IT skills with application to practice.
Proven organisational skills.
