Selection process details
This vacancy is using Success Profiles, and will assess your Behaviours, Experience and Technical skills, blended with a digital portfolio review. Applications and recruitment for this post are managed on behalf of the Cabinet Office by the Public Sector Resourcing (PSR) provider.
As part of the application process, you will be asked to complete a name-blind CV detailing your career history, and to provide a link to your digital portfolio (showcasing 2 to 3 case studies of your previous work).
An initial review of C.Vs and Personal Statements will be conducted by the PSR provider to provide an initial scoring against the job description and essential criteria. These scores and portfolios will then be reviewed by the JIO hiring team for a full sift.
Should a large number of applications be received, an initial sift will be conducted using your digital portfolio and CV. We are highly interested in your design process and critical thinking. Candidates who pass the initial sift may be progressed to a full sift, or progressed straight to assessment/interview.
Candidates successful at the application stage will be invited to a formal interview focused on the behaviours and technical skills listed on the vacancy advert; this could either be face to face or via an online video interview. Candidates invited to attend the interview will asked to prepare a presentation to showcase a piece of visual analysis from their portfolio to assess against the relevant competencies in the Government Digital and Data Profession Capability Framework for a Senior Graphic Designer.
High-Side Evidence
Community colleagues wishing to submit evidence holding a higher classification are permitted to do so, although they are requested to get in touch with the Recruitment Team where they will be provided with appropriate instructions for doing so.
