The School of Biology at the University of St Andrews is one of the UK’s leading centres for biological research and teaching, spanning areas from biomolecular science to marine biology across multiple sites. We are looking for a Student Journey Administrator to join our professional services team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone at an early stage in their career—including recent graduates—to gain hands-on experience in a wide range of university operations.
In this varied role, you will support students and staff across the full student journey—from admissions and induction through teaching and research support to graduation. Working closely with experienced colleagues, you will contribute to both teaching and research administration, helping ensure the smooth running of the School’s activities. This role is ideal for someone who:
- enjoys working with people and providing excellent support
- is highly organised and able to manage a range of tasks
- is keen to develop a career in administration within higher education or a similar environment
No direct university administration experience is required—we are looking for potential, enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn. Full training will be provided, and you will receive training and support to develop your knowledge of university systems and processes.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills across a broad range of administrative areas within a supportive team environment.
You will be based across the School’s three interdisciplinary centres and will play an important role in supporting a vibrant academic community of staff and students.
