Full-time, office-based role – Liverpool City Centre
Statement Drafting Services is a leading provider of witness statement drafting, legal translation and interpreting, locus reports, client tracing, and CFA explanations to the legal industry.
Due to continued business growth, we are seeking an experienced Complex Statement Drafter to join our team.
The successful candidate will conduct and participate in pre-booked telephone interviews and subsequently draft detailed witness statements, or legal documents. These statements are complex in nature and can relate to the following areas:
- Personal injury and care
- Clinical negligence
- Housing disrepair
- Noise-Induced Hearing Loss (NIHL)
Skills
- Excellent written English
- Ability to write clear, structured and logically sequenced documents
- Strong listening skills and the ability to turn spoken accounts into coherent narratives
- Strong ability to convey emotion accurately and sensitively, particularly in distressing or personal matters (e.g. injury, negligence)
- Capable of maintaining the client’s voice while ensuring clarity and professionalism
- Excellent attention to detail, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and completeness throughout statements
- Ability to identify key facts and organise them chronologically to support legal arguments
- Experience adapting tone appropriately depending on case type (e.g. clinical negligence vs housing disrepair)
- Able to type quickly and accurately during calls.
Experience
- It is desirable to have a minimum of 1 year’s experience managing a complex litigated caseload in one or more of the following areas: PI, Clinical Negligence, Housing Disrepair, or NIHL
- We also welcome applications from those experienced in Case Management, probation, police, housing, healthcare administration, or other complex client-facing roles.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree (required), ideally in law, criminal justice, or similar.

We are open to candidates from a range of backgrounds. Direct experience in legal statement drafting is helpful, but not essential. We are particularly interested in people who have experience dealing with complex information, vulnerable clients, difficult conversations, case management, complaints, claims, advocacy, support work, or other roles requiring empathy, accuracy and strong written communication.
The right attitude, maturity and ability to learn are extremely important. Full training will be provided on our drafting style, legal requirements and case types.
