Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and creative Marketing and Social Media Assistant to support our marketing team in enhancing brand visibility and engagement across various platforms. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about digital marketing, public relations, and social media management to gain practical experience in a dynamic environment. The successful candidate will play a vital role in developing engaging content, managing online presence, and fostering positive relationships with our audience.

Duties

Assist in creating, scheduling, and publishing content across social media channels such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
Monitor social media accounts for comments, messages, and engagement opportunities; respond promptly and professionally. Identify ways to improve engagement and reach.
Support the development of marketing campaigns by conducting research, gathering content, and analysing performance metrics.
Help organise promotional events and initiatives to increase brand awareness.
Maintain a consistent brand voice and visual identity across all digital platforms.
Contribute to public relations efforts by drafting press releases, newsletters, and other communication materials.
Track industry trends and competitor activities to inform strategic planning.
Collaborate with team members to brainstorm innovative ideas for campaigns and content.
Help maintain and update website.

Experience

Previous experience, degree or internship in social media management or digital marketing is desirable but not essential; a keen interest in public relations is advantageous.
Strong written communication skills with the ability to craft engaging content tailored to different audiences.
Familiarity with social media platforms and basic analytics tools.
Organised with excellent time-management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Creative mindset with an eye for detail and visual aesthetics.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. This role provides valuable exposure to the latest marketing trends and strategies while contributing meaningfully to our organisation’s growth objectives.
