Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food preparation, kitchen management, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary expertise in a dynamic hospitality environment, delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests. The Head Chef will play a pivotal role in menu development, team leadership, and maintaining a vibrant kitchen atmosphere.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure efficient food production and service.
Develop innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends while maintaining consistency and quality.
Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet high standards of excellence.
Manage daily kitchen operations, including stock control, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness in accordance with food safety regulations.
Train and mentor junior staff to enhance their skills and promote a cohesive team environment.
Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, including food safety standards and hygiene practices.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
Monitor customer feedback to continually improve the dining experience.
Assist in budgeting, cost control, and financial planning related to kitchen operations.

Experience

Proven supervisory experience within a professional kitchen environment.
Extensive background in food production, cooking, and culinary arts.
Demonstrable experience managing a team in a busy restaurant or hospitality setting.
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
Experience in menu development and food presentation techniques.
Familiarity with restaurant operations, including serving procedures and customer service excellence.
Leadership qualities with excellent organisational skills and the ability to motivate staff under pressure. This role is ideal for a dedicated culinary professional eager to lead by example in a vibrant hospitality setting, ensuring the delivery of outstanding cuisine while fostering a positive team environment.

Pay: £38,500.00-£42,500.00 per year
