Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled ACCA Accountant to join our small team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering the services of the practice. This position offers an excellent opportunity for professional development within a long established business committed to delivering high quality bespoke client services. The ideal applicant will possess strong expertise in both cloud and desktop accounting software and a keen eye for detail, with a passion for dealing with numbers.

Responsibilities

Prepare financial statements for sole traders, partnerships and companies.
Prepare income tax and corporation tax returns
Liaise with clients on a daily basis
Assist in the preparation of VAT and payroll returns
Mentor junior team members, providing guidance on accounting practices and software utilisation

Key Skills

Familiar with regulatory requirements related to financial reporting and compliance
Working knowledge of accounting software such as Xero, Sage, Quick Books and the MS Office suite
Strong organisational skills with the ability to mentor colleagues effectively
Minimum of 4 years working in an accountancy practice
ACCA qualified, or finalist

Pay: £40,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
