Responsibilities

Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools to identify necessary repairs.
Perform maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake inspections, fluid replacements to keep vehicles in top condition.
Repair or replace faulty components using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques.
Conduct thorough inspections of engines, transmissions, suspension systems, and electrical systems to ensure safety standards are met.
Utilise mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot complex problems and execute effective solutions efficiently.
Assist with heavy lifting tasks safely when handling large parts or equipment during repairs or installations.
Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and parts used for each vehicle to ensure accurate documentation.

Qualifications

Proven experience with vehicle repair and maintenance; familiarity with schematics and technical diagrams is highly desirable.
Strong mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques.
Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics accurately for precise repairs.
Physical stamina for heavy lifting and working in various positions for extended periods.
Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients regarding repairs and maintenance needs.
Knowledge of safety procedures related to equipment repair, welding, and heavy lifting operations.
