We have an exciting opportunity for a Paramedic to join our Primary Care Nurse Team at HMP Dovegate, a category B Prison located in Uttoxeter in Staffordshire.

HMP Dovegate is a private prison with a capacity of 1160 males.

You will be based within the healthcare department and prison wing work will also be required.

Please keep in mind as a night nurse there will be a requirement to do a day shift on rotation for ongoing professional development and support.

Hours

Monday - Sunday service - 37.5 hours per week
Monday- Friday- 6:45am/8:15am - 18.15pm
Saturday and Sunday - 07:45am - 18.15pm
Nights- 8:00pm - 6:45am

Salary

This position is full time, you’ll receive an annual salary between £43,609 - £49,175 per annum depending on experience.

What you'll be doing

As a Paramedic, your responsibilities will vary. You will

Provide outstanding evidence based case to our patients seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them - focussing on emergency and unplanned care to patients with both primary care and acute care needs.
Daily shift co-ordination responsibilities
Deliver non-judgemental care, building therapeutic relationships and promoting professional boundaries.

Qualified Paramedic
Current professional registration (HCPC)
Proven post-registration ambulance experience - 3 years post- qualified
Evidence of continued professional development
