Head Chef – All Things Nice, Marple

Salary: From £35,000 per annum + Performance Bonus + Excellent Benefits

Location: All Things Nice, Marple

Start Date: August 2026 (with a 4–6 week paid handover and training period available beforehand)

Ready to Lead One of Stockport's Most Loved Independent Kitchens?

We're looking for an exceptional Head Chef to lead the kitchen at All Things Nice, Marple.

Let's be honest – this role comes with some big shoes to fill.

Our current Head Chef has spent the last few years building an incredible reputation for quality, consistency and innovation, helping establish All Things Nice as a destination venue with menus our guests genuinely love. They're leaving on fantastic terms to go travelling and explore the world, creating a rare opportunity for the right person to take over an already thriving kitchen.

This isn't a rescue mission. This isn't a turnaround project.

This is your chance to inherit a strong, successful operation and help shape its next chapter.

A Proper Handover

Our current Head Chef isn't leaving until August, which means the successful candidate will benefit from a comprehensive handover and training period of approximately 4–6 weeks before taking full responsibility for the kitchen.

This is a unique opportunity to learn the operation, understand the team, get to grips with our systems and menus, and work alongside the current Head Chef before they set off on their travels.

We want the transition to be a success for everyone involved and are committed to providing the support needed to help you hit the ground running.

All Things Nice is a busy independent café, restaurant and bakery in the heart of Marple. We pride ourselves on producing fresh, seasonal food from breakfast through to lunch, alongside exceptional baked goods, speciality coffee and regular evening events.

We're ambitious, constantly evolving, and passionate about delivering an experience that keeps guests coming back time and time again.

The Role

As Head Chef, you'll:

Lead and inspire a talented kitchen team
Continue developing exciting seasonal menus
Maintain exceptional food quality and consistency
Manage GP, stock control and kitchen budgets
Drive standards in food safety and compliance
Recruit, train and develop your team
Work closely with the owners to shape the future direction of the food offering
Bring fresh ideas whilst respecting what has already made us successful

You'll be:

An experienced Head Chef or strong Sous Chef ready to step up
Passionate about fresh food and menu development
A natural leader who gets the best from people
Commercially aware and confident managing kitchen finances
Organised, professional and calm under pressure
Someone who takes pride in every plate that leaves the pass
