Golden Community is an innovative, nurse-led healthcare provider delivering preventative health services, healthy ageing programmes and community wellbeing support.
We are looking for enthusiastic Healthcare Practitioners who are passionate about helping people improve their health and wellbeing through education, prevention and early intervention.
This is an exciting opportunity to work across our new community health initiatives, including our Healthy Lifestyle Programme and our Little Orchard Community Health Hub.
The Role
You will support the delivery of:
- NHS Health Checks (training provided where appropriate)
- Blood pressure and health screening clinics
- Healthy lifestyle advice
- Stop Smoking programmes
- Behaviour change support
- Weight management and healthy ageing initiatives
- Community outreach clinics
- Health promotion events
- Signposting and referrals to other services
We are looking for someone who:
- Is passionate about prevention and improving community health
- Enjoys working with people from all backgrounds
- Has excellent communication skills
- Is organised and motivated
- Works well independently and within a multidisciplinary team
- Holds a full UK driving licence and has access to a vehicle
Desirable
- Health Care Assistant qualification
- Care Certificate
- Experience within primary care, community services or public health
- NHS Health Check experience (or willingness to undertake training)
- Smoking cessation or behaviour change experience
- Phlebotomy skills (desirable but not essential)
