Job Summary

Join our dedicated team as an ABA Therapist, where you'll play a vital role in supporting a child on the autism pathway. Your energetic and compassionate approach will help foster meaningful progress through evidence-based practices rooted in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on lives while developing your skills in special education, patient care, and behavioral therapy. You will work closely with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams to create tailored intervention plans that promote independence and social skills.

Responsibilities

Implement individualized ABA therapy plans designed by licensed behavior analysts to support clients’ developmental goals
Use positive reinforcement techniques to encourage desired behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors
Collect and record data on client progress during therapy sessions to monitor effectiveness and inform adjustments
Assist with medication administration as directed by healthcare professionals, ensuring proper documentation and safety protocols
Provide patient care by maintaining a safe, supportive environment during therapy sessions and activities
Collaborate with families, caregivers, and team members to ensure consistency across all settings and share progress updates regularly
Support clients with daily living skills, social interactions, communication development, and behavior management strategies

Skills

Experience working with children or individuals with disabilities in educational or therapeutic settings
Strong knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and techniques
Prior experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is highly preferred
Background in special education or related fields enhances your ability to tailor interventions effectively
Ability to administer medication safely when required, following all safety guidelines
Excellent patient care skills combined with patience, empathy, and active listening abilities
Effective communication skills for working collaboratively with families, team members, and clients
