Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Grounds Maintenance Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing outdoor spaces, ensuring they are safe, attractive and well-kept. This role offers an opportunity to work outdoors across various environments, applying practical skills in landscape maintenance and horticulture. Candidates should possess a strong work ethic, attention to detail and a passion for outdoor work.
Duties
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, pruning and fertilising to promote healthy growth and aesthetic appeal.
- Operate mechanical equipment such as pedestrian mowers, strimmers, hedge cutters and other various hand tools. Vehicle and equipment are provided.
- Support seasonal tasks such as leaf clearance, snow removal or planting schemes.
Skills
- Experience in landscape maintenance and gardening practices is preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge related to operating and maintaining equipment like excavators and power tools is preferred.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Physical fitness suitable for outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
