This is an opportunity to take ownership of engineering performance at our Stansted operation, ensuring our vehicles remain safe, compliant and available for service every day.
What You'll Be Doing
You'll work closely with our external maintenance providers and suppliers to oversee fleet maintenance, vehicle roadworthiness, MOT preparation and engineering compliance.
You'll manage supplier performance, monitor repair quality, support maintenance planning and ensure the highest standards of safety, compliance and operational performance are maintained.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll work closely with operations, suppliers and engineering colleagues to keep our fleet moving. While much of your focus will be on managing external partners and engineering standards, we're looking for somebody who enjoys being out with the fleet, inspecting vehicles, investigating issues and getting involved when needed.
What We're Looking For
We're interested in speaking with people from PSV, coach, bus, HGV or commercial vehicle environments who have experience in:
· Fleet maintenance management
· Workshop leadership
· Engineering compliance
· External supplier or contractor management
· Vehicle roadworthiness and MOT preparation
You may currently be working as an:
· Fleet Engineering Manager
· Fleet Maintenance Manager
· Assistant Engineering Manager
· Engineering Supervisor
· Workshop Manager
· PSV Engineering Manager
· Workshop Foreman
· Depot Engineering Manager
· HGV Workshop Manager
IRTEC, NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds Heavy Vehicle qualifications would be advantageous.
