HR Assitant Employer: DMC Consulting Services Ltd

Location: Gravesend, Kent

Salary:£26,500 per annum (depending on experience)

Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday)

We work with individuals with complex needs, including mental health conditions and learning disabilities, delivering high-quality, person-centred care. We are committed to maintaining high standards of compliance, workforce development and service delivery, in line with regulatory requirements.

Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and organised HR assitant to support the delivery of HR services across the organisation. You will play a key role in supporting managers with day-to-day HR matters, ensuring policies and procedures are followed, and contributing to a positive and compliant working environment. This is a varied role within a fast-paced care setting, requiring strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Provide first-line HR advice to managers on employee relations matters
Support absence management processes, including monitoring triggers and maintaining accurate records
Assist with formal HR processes such as disciplinary, grievance and absence meetings (including note-taking)
Support recruitment and onboarding processes to ensure a smooth candidate and new starter experience
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records within HR systems
Support compliance requirements, including training monitoring and reporting in line with regulatory standards (e.g. CQC)
Assist with reviewing and updating HR policies and procedures in line with UK employment legislation
Support audits and ensure HR documentation is compliant and accessible
Contribute to HR projects and continuous improvement of processes
Promote equality, diversity and inclusion across the organisation
Support employee wellbeing initiatives

Person Specification Essential

Previous experience in an HR administrative or HR Assistant role
Good understanding of UK employment law and HR processes
Strong organisational and administrative skills
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

Desirable

CIPD Level 3
Experience within a health or social care environment
Experience using HR systems

Additional Information

This role may require occasional travel to services
You will be required to work in line with company policies and regulatory standards
A proactive, flexible and professional approach is essential
