Full job description

Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Assistant Manager / Barista / Front of House (FOH) / Bartender to join our vibrant team. This multifaceted role offers the opportunity to lead service operations, craft exceptional beverages, and ensure an outstanding customer experience. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hospitality, excellent organisational skills, and a friendly demeanour. Previous experience in a similar environment is preferred, along with a strong commitment to food safety standards and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Assist in managing daily front-of-house operations, ensuring smooth service during busy periods
Prepare and serve a variety of high-quality coffee, tea, and beverages in accordance with company standards
Deliver exceptional customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders accurately, and addressing any enquiries or concerns
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the barista station and dining area in compliance with food safety regulations
Support food preparation tasks as needed, including assembling light snacks or accompaniments
Handle cash transactions accurately using the POS system and manage basic maths calculations for billing purposes
Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service delivery during peak hours
Uphold health and safety standards at all times, including adherence to food safety protocols and responsible alcohol service where applicable
Assist in training new team members and providing ongoing support to ensure team cohesion

Experience

Previous barista experience is highly desirable, with a solid understanding of coffee brewing techniques and beverage presentation
Experience in serving or hospitality roles that involve direct customer interaction
Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures within a food service environment
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently with excellent time management skills
Basic mathematical skills for handling transactions and cash management confidently
