About The Organisation

Here at NHS Lanarkshire, we put the patient at the heart of everything we do. Each colleague within the organisation plays a key role in how we deliver our healthcare services.

We proudly serve a population of 655,000 across rural and urban communities in both North and South Lanarkshire. NHS Lanarkshire is comprised of Acute Services (which currently provide hospital based services over 3 main sites), Corporate & Property & Support Services, North and South Lanarkshire Health and Social Care Partnerships which provide integrated primary healthcare and social care services to local communities and surrounding areas.

The Role

This role will be to manage the Education and Training Centre on a day-to-day basis. Also to co-ordinate, the administration associated with training activity.
You will also provide secretarial and administrative work to the Training Team.

The working pattern for this role is Hours Between - 8.30am - 4.30pm

Please note this is a fixed term post for 9 months. Where a post only has temporary funding and an existing member of NHS Lanarkshire staff wishes to apply, this will be treated as a secondment. The employee MUST already have written agreement from their line manager to be released on a secondment before applying for the post.

In this key role, you will:

Providing a seamless service to all users of the Training Centre; allocating and recording room bookings; liaising with specialist trainers on room usage; providing information on information board on room usage; assisting users with equipment; ensuring training room is well equipped and to co-ordinate the issue and return of audio-visual equipment to all staff.
Providing information and booking appropriate participants onto courses; producing high quality support material for trainers, e.g. visual aids, handouts, workbooks and ensuring the appropriate equipment is available and in good working order; organising appropriate catering for events when necessary.
Liaising with several recruitment departments.
Provide monthly activity reports to the Training Manager.

What You'll Bring:

Educated to SVQ3 or equivalent experience
Excellent interpersonal/customer care skills.
Excellent organisational skills and communication skills.
Experience of setting up databases

A driving licence is required; this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.
