The successful Criminal Defence Solicitor will manage a varied caseload of criminal law matters whilst contributing to the continued success of the wider team.
The day to day duties within this Criminal Defence Solicitor job include:
- Managing a caseload of criminal matters for both legal aid and privately funded clients
- Conducting advocacy in the Magistrates' Court
- Managing Crown Court matters from instruction through to conclusion
- Attending court hearings and representing clients at police stations
- Providing clear and practical legal advice to clients
- Preparing legal documentation and progressing matters efficiently
- Liaising with clients, courts, counsel and other third parties
- Supporting colleagues and contributing to team objectives
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards
