Our Engineering curriculum sits within our Technology area, which is seeing significant growth. As a result, we are looking for an Electrical Engineering specialist to join our friendly team. You will primarily provide high-quality practical teaching within the Engineering Department on Engineering courses to a range of learners.
Reporting directly into the Curriculum Head you'll have access to well supplied, industry standard workshops and computer rooms in our new Hi-tech & Digital Centre. Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering inspirational teaching and access to learning across a range of programmes;
- Liaise closely with the Engineering team and colleagues to ensure the day to day practical and theoretical activities are co-ordinated appropriately for learners
- Prepare and select learning materials to ensure an appropriate range of delivery methods to support learning.
- Contribute to the planning and review of learning programmes and the curriculum, including the development of key resources.
Review and inform learning / assessment plans and targets for learners as required.
What we are looking for in our ideal Engineering Trainer Facilitator:
- Relevant training and qualifications in Electrical Engineering to at least level 3.
- Relevant industrial experience and other relevant related professional qualifications.
- Evidence of continued professional and personal development.
- If not already held, to attain a teaching qualification within the college’s specified timescale.
- Maths and English at level 2 or equivalent (grade C/4 GCSE).
