At present, University Hospitals of North Midlands is unable to offer visa sponsorship for Band 2 to Band 4 roles, as these positions do not meet the minimum salary and skill thresholds required under UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) regulations.

Important information for applicants: To ensure clarity of accountability, scope of practice and professional responsibilities, the Trust does not normally appoint individuals holding active NMC or HCPC registration into Band 2 Clinical/AHP Support Worker, Band 3 Senior Clinical/AHP Support Worker or Band 4 AHP Support Worker/Technician roles. Registered nurses and Allied Health Professionals interested in joining UHNM are encouraged to explore our registered professional opportunities, which are advertised regularly across the Trust.

This role will involve working with a specific group of patients with a lifelong condition from birth through to adulthood . This is a n opportunity to specialise in an exciting clinical area with scope for independent and multidisciplinary working both in the acute trust but also within the community . With advancements in CF management the candidate must have knowledge of health promotion and exercise prescription along with an ability to instruct and educate navigating potential barriers. Therefore, it is essential that the candidate has a high level of experience working in Therapies or an exercise environment.

Strong communication skills will be essential as the role will involve booking appointments, recording clinical outcomes and inpu t t ing on to national registries, digital literacy skills , and highly developed verbal communication skills will be required to liaise directly with patients and their families .

Due to the outreach nature of the post with home visits and working across multiple sites candidate s must be able to drive to support the logistically running of the team to enable management of both paediatric and adult patients with CF. The candidate must work well in a wider multidisciplinary team to deliver high - quality care to a specialist cohort of patients. Th is innovative role allows the successful candidate to develop and grow alongside the changing need of this group of patients. Supported by the national network of cystic fibrosis therapists and a regional team, this post will be integrated within a team of senior and Advanced physiotherapists.

Development opportunities will be supported for specific clinical knowledge . Supervision will be provided by the Band 7 Therapists and continuous development is supported through appraisal, internal training and external learning.
