Nutrition & Research Coordinator – Pig Nutrition

Are you passionate about animal science and keen to play a hands-on role in cutting-edge agricultural research? Pilgrim’s Europe is looking for a Nutrition & Research Coordinator to support innovative Pig Nutrition projects across our operations.
This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with our Project Lead and Innovation Team, contributing to trials that shape the future of livestock nutrition and welfare, supporting nutrition and other business related research projects.
What You’ll Be Doing
As part of our Research team, you’ll play a key role in delivering trials from start to finish:
Supporting trial activities across our Trial Facility, farms, and processing sites
Assisting with (and leading where required) satellite farm projects
Coordinating logistics before, during, and after trials
Collecting, analysing, and interpreting data and samples
Preparing trial protocols, reports, and summaries
Presenting findings and sharing key insights
Ensuring accurate data entry and timely project completion
Managing trial documentation, costs, and compliance requirements
Monitoring animal health and welfare throughout trials
Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders
Taking ownership of trials in the absence of the Project Lead
What Success Looks Like
Accurate data recorded on the day of collection
Trial summaries and costings completed within 3 weeks
Clear communication of interim and final results
Strong alignment with company KPIs, compliance, and training
Flexibility to travel and work varied hours when required

Essential Skills:
Strong organisation and time management
Ability to work to deadlines
Confident communicator across all levels
Proficient in Microsoft Office and adaptable to new systems
Knowledge of agriculture, meat science, or a related industry
Qualifications & Experience
Degree in a Science-related subject (essential)
Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
Industry experience in livestock (desirable)
Master’s degree (desirable)
