Rainbow Nursery is hiring a permanent Catering Assistant. Shifts are 8.00am-5.00pm Monday to Friday all year round. Salary up to £26,517. Candidate MUST have experience working in a commercial kitchen, especially care homes, nurseries and schools
Rainbow is a large single site children's nursery catering for up to 220 children and located near to Chertsey in Surrey. We provide home-cooked lunch, tea and snacks to babies and young children up to the age of five. We are not close to public transport therefore own transport is necessary. We close on weekends, Bank Holidays and between Christmas and New Year
The role includes:
- assist Chef in food preparation and serving
- order, storage and rotation of ingredients
- carry out thorough cleaning, tidying ensuring high standards of hygiene
- implement the Food Safety Management System
- follow all nursery policies and procedures
- contribute to the smooth operation of our four person catering team
You will have:
- experience working in a commercial kitchen, especially care homes, nurseries and schools
- good interpersonal & team working skills and a positive ‘can do’ attitude
- Level 2 in Food Hygiene or the ability to attain it
