Looking for a role where your analytical skills can directly improve the lives of residents in Hackney? We are looking for an Assistant Data Analyst to join our Transformation service within the Adults, Health, and Integration directorate. Hackney’s Adult Social Care Transformation Service is at the forefront of redesigning and modernising local services. Our focus is on ensuring support is easy to access, preventive, personalised and of good quality.
As an Assistant Data Analyst, you will play an important role in our performance management framework. You will take lead responsibility for collecting, tracking, and reporting on vital operational and financial metrics, ensuring that social care outcomes and cost-avoidance benefits are accurately reported. Beyond routine reporting, you will maintain and update interactive dashboards (using tools like Qlik or Looker Studio) to provide senior leadership with a clear view of departmental trends. You’ll be a proactive problem-solver, identifying data discrepancies, suggesting process improvements, and empowering staff through the development of self-service reporting tools.
The ideal candidate will possess advanced proficiency in spreadsheet software such as Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets and have experience using Business Intelligence tools (such as Qlik or PowerBI) to process and visualise data. You will have a proven track record of producing high-quality analysis that supports decision-making, coupled with a meticulous eye for detail to ensure complex financial and performance calculations are 100% accurate. We are looking for someone with experience in an Adult Social Care or health setting, including the use of relational databases such as Mosaic. Above all, you will have excellent organisational skills and the ability to build strong working relationships across different teams.
