Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled PCB Assembler to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling printed circuit boards using various techniques and tools, ensuring high-quality standards are met. Responsibilities
- Assemble printed circuit boards (PCBs) using surface mount technology (SMT) and through-hole components.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to accurately position and secure electronic components.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions to ensure precise assembly.
- Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) as required during the assembly process.
- Inspect assembled PCBs for defects or inconsistencies, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
- Perform basic testing of assembled PCBs to verify functionality before final inspection.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
- Assist in troubleshooting minor issues during assembly, escalating complex problems to senior staff when necessary.
Requirements
- Experience with surface mount technology (SMT) assembly processes is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and other assembly equipment.
- Electrical experience or background in electronics is essential.
- Mechanical knowledge related to component placement and PCB handling.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is advantageous.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions accurately.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure high-quality output.
- Ability to work methodically in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards.
- Prior experience with power tools and mechanical assembly is beneficial but not mandatory.
