Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Concrete line Pump Operator to join our construction team. applicant must be 25 for insurance purposes and hold a class 2 hgv licence. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating concrete pumping equipment efficiently and safely on various construction sites. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work within a dynamic environment, contributing to the successful completion of building projects. Candidates should possess relevant mechanical knowledge and experience with commercial driving, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities

Operate concrete pump machinery accurately to deliver concrete to designated areas on-site
Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of pumping equipment to ensure optimal performance
Coordinate with site managers and construction teams to plan and execute pouring schedules
Ensure all safety protocols are followed during operation, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Assist with setup and dismantling of pump systems at various locations within the construction site
Maintain detailed records of daily operations, including hours worked and materials delivered
Troubleshoot mechanical issues promptly to minimise downtime and maintain workflow efficiency

Skills

Proven experience operating concrete pumps in a construction environment
Mechanical knowledge related to pump systems and general machinery maintenance
Commercial driving experience, with a valid lorry or HGV licence preferred
Familiarity with operating excavators or other heavy machinery is advantageous
Strong understanding of safety regulations and procedures relevant to construction sites
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good communication skills for effective coordination with colleagues and site personnel

This role is vital for ensuring the timely and safe delivery of concrete on-site, supporting the successful completion of construction projects. The ideal candidate will demonstrate technical competence, safety awareness, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Pay: Up to £15.00 per hour
