About Us
Young Drains Ltd is a growing plumbing, drainage and commercial flooring company providing high-quality services to commercial and domestic customers across Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Wiltshire and Gloucestershire. Due to continued growth, we are looking for a reliable and experienced Commercial Safety Flooring Installer to join our team.
The Role
The successful candidate will primarily install commercial safety flooring across a variety of sites including healthcare facilities, schools, offices, retail units, care homes and other commercial properties. We are looking for someone who takes pride in producing high-quality finishes and can work both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation of commercial safety vinyl flooring (Altro, Polyflor, Gerflor or similar)
- Floor preparation including grinding, priming and latex levelling
- Installation of cap and cove flooring systems
- Hot weld joints to manufacturer specifications
- Measuring, setting out and fitting flooring to a high standard
- Uplifting and disposing of existing floor coverings where required
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- Providing a professional and courteous service to customers
Essential Requirements
- Full UK driving licence
- Previous commercial flooring installation experience
- Experience fitting safety vinyl flooring
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, hardworking and punctual
- Good attention to detail and pride in workmanship
Desirable (Not Essential)
- Experience with Altro, Polyflor, Gerflor or similar commercial flooring products
- Experience installing cap and cove systems
- Hot weld certification or experience
- CSCS card
- SSSTS or SMSTS
- IPAF or PASMA certification
- Asbestos Awareness training
- Manual Handling certificate
