Job Description: Technical Order Processor
The Company
BM Bi-Folding Doors is a fast-growing specialist manufacturer and installer of bespoke aluminium bifolding doors, sliding doors, internal doors, windows, and glazing systems.
We work with both homeowners and trade customers across the UK, delivering premium made-to-measure products backed by strong customer service, technical expertise, and industry-leading turnaround times.
Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit a highly organised and detail-focused Technical Order Processor to support the sales and operations teams.
The Role:
The Technical Order Processor plays a critical role between Sales, Manufacturing, and Operations.
Once an order has been secured by the sales team, the Processor becomes responsible for ensuring all specifications, technical details, and documentation are accurate, complete, and ready for manufacture and delivery.
This role exists to:
- Improve consistency
- Reduce costly mistakes and remakes
- Free up the sales team to focus on selling
- Improve operational flow across the business
The role requires someone who is highly organised, process-driven, detail obsessed, and confident in challenging incomplete or incorrect information where required.
This is not a customer service or reception role. It is a technical coordination and operational quality-control position.
Key Responsibilities:
Order Processing & Validation
- Process sold orders following signed contract and deposit receipt
- Review contracts, technical specs, measurements, and order details for accuracy
- Ensure all required information has been correctly captured before production
- Identify inconsistencies, omissions, or obvious quoting/specification errors
- Liaise with sales staff to resolve missing or incorrect information
Technical Coordination
- Review technical drawings and manufacturing specifications
- Prepare and input accurate order information into internal systems
- Work closely with manufacturing and operations teams to ensure smooth order flow
- Coordinate handovers from sales into production and delivery scheduling
Systems & Administration
- Maintain accurate records across:
- Monday.com CRM
- V6 / Logical fabrication software
- Internal order systems
- Ensure all documentation is correctly stored and updated
- Assist with reporting and operational administration where required
Internal Communication & Quality Control
- Act as an internal checkpoint before orders progress into manufacturing
- Confidently challenge unclear or incomplete order information
- Communicate effectively with:
- Sales
- Operations
- Suppliers
- Help improve process consistency and accountability across the business
Skills & Experience Required:Essential
- Previous experience in:
- Order processing
- Technical administration
- Manufacturing coordination
- Sales processing
- Or operational support roles
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
- Confident working with technical specifications and drawings
- Comfortable working across multiple systems and software platforms
- Strong communication skills and confidence challenging inaccuracies professionally
