Full job description

Feral Interactive is looking for a bright and diligent gaming-enthusiast to help us bring outstanding PC games to the Mac, Nintendo Switch, and mobile platforms.

Feral has a world-leading reputation for developing excellent ports of AAA games that integrate perfectly into their target operating systems to produce outstanding player experiences. Our QA team plays a key part in helping to achieve this goal.

Our ideal candidate will relish the opportunities offered to impact the delivery of great games. This role is ideal for someone who is determined to find every bug and gets satisfaction from understanding why a bug occurs.

Working as part of our QA team, you will be responsible for identifying graphical issues, running performance comparisons against original games, participating in multiplayer testing, and executing full game playthroughs. You will be expected to write up accurate and detailed bug reports; many of the issues you find will be hardware based, so a good technical understanding of gaming hardware is helpful. You will also work closely with our developers who value feedback that not only identifies bugs, but also provides leads as to their causes.

This position offers an excellent first step into the gaming industry: many of our QA Techs progress to roles in other areas of the company. You should be keen to learn and pick up new skills; we are especially interested in people who can show they have the potential to develop and the desire to advance.

This is a permanent, full-time position based at our studios in Wandsworth, southwest London.

Required Skills and Experience

A demonstrable interest in computer games
Exceptional attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Desired Skills and Experience

Strong technical knowledge of computer hardware
A good understanding of macOS and/or mobile operating systems
A determination to do your best work all the time
Previous experience is not required, but the right attitude is essential.

Benefits

Starting salary £26,5k and if you move to within 15 minutes’ walk of the studio, you will be eligible for a £2,000pa proximity bonus.
