Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Carpenter/Joiner to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing various bespoke cabinets, fitted furniture and MDF/MFC Products. And components on-site and in workshop environments. This role offers an opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, including roofing, masonry, plumbing, electrical works, and construction painting. The ideal applicant will have a strong background in carpentry and joinery, with experience using hand tools and power tools, and possess the physical capability for heavy lifting. This position is fully paid and suitable for individuals committed to delivering high-quality craftsmanship in a professional setting.
Duties
- Fabricate and assemble timber structures and components according to technical drawings and specifications
- Use hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, and install woodwork with precision
- Install , flooring, doors, windows, and other carpentry elements on construction sites
- Construct bespoke furniture cabinets using fixings and clean installation
- Perform joinery tasks including fitting joints, sanding, finishing, and detailing work
- Assist with masonry, plumbing, electrical installations, and construction painting as required
- Conduct heavy lifting of materials safely to ensure smooth workflow on-site
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace adhering to health and safety standards
- Collaborate with other trades such as electricians, plumbers, and masons to complete projects efficiently
- Ensure all work complies with building codes and safety regulations
- Represent the brand at all times, and keep to the brand guidelines
Experience
- Proven experience in carpentry or joinery within the construction or renovation industry
- Examples of previous work / client testimonials
- Skilled in fabrication, assembly, and installation of wooden structures using both hand tools and power tools
- Able to handle pressure and tight deadlines without compromising quality of finish
- Work during weekends or specific out of hours to ensure product completion
- Must have some of your own tools, skill saw, combi / impact drivers
- Knowledge of roofing techniques, masonry work, plumbing systems, electrical wiring, and construction painting is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely over extended periods
- Familiarity with site safety protocols and health & safety legislation relevant to construction environments
- Experience working on diverse projects from residential to commercial sites preferred
