About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and creative Marketing Assistant to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a graduate-calibre candidate with approximately 1-2 years' experience in a marketing role, ideally within an engineering, manufacturing, electronics, or technology-based business.

The successful candidate will support a broad range of digital and offline marketing activities, product marketing initiatives, exhibitions and events, sales support, and content creation. The role requires a hands-on individual who is equally comfortable creating social media content, producing professional marketing collateral, coordinating trade shows, and working closely with internal stakeholders and external agencies.

Key Responsibilities

Digital Marketing

Plan and execute digital marketing campaigns across multiple channels.
Create and manage content for social media platforms.
Develop and distribute email marketing campaigns.
Monitor and analyse website, social media, and campaign performance.
Support SEO, PPC, and lead-generation activities.
Maintain and update website content.

Product Marketing

Support new product launches and product promotion activities.
Produce and maintain product datasheets, brochures, catalogues, and technical literature.
Create product presentations, application notes, and case studies.
Assist with product positioning and competitor market research.
Work with engineering and sales teams to communicate technical information effectively.

Events & Offline Marketing

Coordinate exhibitions, trade shows, customer and internal events, and industry conferences.
Manage event logistics, promotional merchandise, branded items, and marketing materials.
Liaise with suppliers, printers, and external marketing partners.
Support advertising and public relations activities.

Graphic Design & Content Creation

Design marketing materials for digital and print applications.
Create brochures, flyers, adverts, presentations, banners, newsletters, internal communications and promotional literature.
Ensure brand consistency across all marketing channels.
Support photography and video content creation activities.

Sales Support

Produce sales collateral and customer-facing marketing materials.
Support lead-generation campaigns and follow-up activities.
Assist with sales presentations and customer communications.
Maintain customer and prospect information within CRM systems.
Supporting customer service team with quotations and orders during periods of high demand.

Stakeholder Management

Collaborate with Engineering, Sales, Customer Service, Operations, and Management teams.
Manage relationships with external marketing agencies, designers, printers, photographers, and other third-party suppliers.
Coordinate projects to ensure delivery on time and within budget.
Reports to sales office Manager

Skills & Experience

Essential

Degree or equivalent qualification in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related discipline.
Proficient in WordPress and Mailchimp.
Approximately 1-2 years' marketing experience.
Product marketing experience preferred.
Experience managing social media platforms and digital marketing campaigns.
Experience creating and executing email marketing campaigns.
Strong graphic design capability.
Proficient in Adobe InDesign and/or Adobe Photoshop.
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook).
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organisational and project management abilities.
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Team player with excellent collaboration skills.

Desirable

Experience within engineering, electronics, industrial technology, manufacturing, or technical product sectors.
Knowledge of CRM systems and marketing automation tools.
Experience coordinating exhibitions and trade shows.
Basic video editing and photography skills.
Understanding of SEO, Google Analytics, and PPC advertising.
Experience managing external agencies and suppliers.
