Full job description

1st & 2nd Charge Mortgage Case Managers – Specialist Lending

We are supporting a well-established specialist lending brokerage with the recruitment of both a 1st Charge Mortgage Case Manager and a 2nd Charge Mortgage Case Manager to join its focused Specialist Lending team in Ringwood.

These are excellent opportunities for experienced mortgage professionals who enjoy managing applications, building strong relationships and delivering an exceptional service to brokers and clients.

You will manage residential and buy-to-let mortgage enquiries from initial enquiry through to completion, working closely with brokers, lenders, legal teams and surveyors to ensure every application progresses smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities in these Mortgage Case Manager roles:

Processing 1st or 2nd charge mortgage applications from initial enquiry through to completion
Maintaining regular communication with brokers, clients, lenders, solicitors, surveyors and other third parties
Reviewing and interpreting client documentation to assess suitability for lenders
Submitting accurate information through lender portals and hunt groups
Creating and managing lender-specific document checklists
Collecting fees from clients and brokers where required
Ensuring client information is accurately recorded within the company’s CRM system
Proactively progressing applications in line with company and lender processing guidelines
Providing customer care calls and responding to broker queries
Setting review dates for completed loans to support future opportunities
Attending internal sales and lender meetings to maintain up-to-date market knowledge
Supporting the company’s AML procedures and reporting suspicious activity appropriately
Assisting other departments with AML checks when required
Maintaining professional development through training, online courses and market research
Working towards individual, team and company targets

About You – Mortgage Case Manager Experience

Previous experience in mortgage case management, mortgage administration or specialist lending
A minimum of two years’ experience within the financial services industry
Experience processing 1st or 2nd charge mortgage applications would be highly desirable
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
A confident and professional telephone manner
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple applications
Comfortable working in a busy, target-driven environment
Excellent computer skills and experience using CRM systems
Strong attention to detail and an understanding of regulatory requirements
A proactive, motivated and forward-thinking approach

Salary and Benefits

£28,000–£32,000, depending on experience
Commission for each completed case
Quarterly team bonus
