Salary: £40,000 – £55,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Glemham are now seeking an experienced talented and motivated Underwriter to join our friendly and dynamic team in Norwich.
About the Role
As part of our specialist Underwriting Team, you’ll support commercial brokers nationally delivering a professional and efficient underwriting service. You’ll be responsible for underwriting new business, renewals, and endorsements, and producing accurate documentation in line with our underwriting authority.
Key Responsibilities
- Underwrite and issue quotations, renewals, and endorsements within agreed service levels
- Ensure full compliance with underwriting standards, procedures, and delegated authority
- Liaise effectively with external brokers, clients, and insurers to ensure clear and timely communication
- Manage and prioritise workload to meet deadlines and exceed service expectations
- Support the delivery of high-quality customer service and maintain strong working relationships across the business

Essential Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Comfortable working under pressure and handling multiple priorities
- Good IT proficiency (including Word and Excel)
- Ability to negotiate and influence outcomes internally and externally
- Knowledge of the UK insurance market
- We welcome applications from candidates with varying levels of experience but some Underwriting experience is essential.
