About the Role

We’re looking for a hands-on and proactive Engineering Assistant to join our team at Delta Hotels by Marriott Swansea. In this role, you’ll play a key part in keeping our hotel running smoothly by ensuring all equipment, facilities and guest areas are well maintained and in excellent condition.

What You’ll Be Doing

Carrying out day-to-day maintenance across guest rooms and public areas, including basic plumbing, electrical repairs, and general upkeep
Responding quickly and efficiently to maintenance requests to ensure a great guest experience
Assisting with monitoring safety systems such as fire alarms and emergency equipment
Performing preventative maintenance checks to reduce downtime and maintain high standards
Keeping tools, equipment, and work areas clean, organised, and ready for use
Supporting energy-saving initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve efficiency
Responding to emergency situations and helping to restore normal operations as quickly as possible
Keeping accurate records of maintenance activities and ensuring clear communication between shifts

What We’re Looking For

Some experience in maintenance, engineering, or a similar practical role
Basic knowledge of plumbing and/or electrical work
A proactive, reliable and “can-do” attitude
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
