Reporting to the Fire Technician, you will support The Garrisons by liaising with teams and contractors regarding fire-related works, ensuring compliance and contributing to the safe management of the estate.

Your Role:
- You will be ensuring compliance with quality, health, safety and environmental policies and safe working practices across the estate.
- You will be interpreting fire strategies and technical drawings to assess fire doors, fire stopping, dampers and compartments.
- You will be liaising with The Garrisons teams and contractors to monitor and report on fire-related works and maintenance quality.
- You will be inspecting fire doors beyond economic repair, recommending repair or replacement and recording findings with photographs and funding requirements.
- You will be supporting reporting, audits and evidence packs relating to fire safety compliance and inspections.
- You will be carrying out additional duties as reasonably required by the Fire and Special Projects Manager.
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualifications: You will have a reasonable standard of English and Maths (GCSE grade 4/C or equivalent), the ability to complete written reports, audits and evidence packs, and hold a full UK driving licence.
- Experience: You will have fire management awareness within a facilities management environment, experience interpreting technical drawings and reports, and familiarity with working in a Ministry of Defence or military environment.
- Skills: You will demonstrate strong communication, organisational and IT skills including competent use of Microsoft Office applications, and the ability to work effectively with others while maintaining a customer-focused approach.
Experience & Knowledge:
- Fire management awareness within a facilities management environment, the ability to interpret building technical drawings and reports, competent use of Microsoft Office applications, and experience working within a Ministry of Defence or military environment.
Desirable:
- A B&CE trade related qualification.
- Competent use of company management information systems such as IFS.
- Membership of an appropriate professional institution.
- A valid CSCS card
