An exciting opportunity has risen for the Surveillance Operator in the new Abingdon CCTV Command suite. The post will see the holders contributing to the CCTV operation for the whole of Oxfordshire, utilising the latest CCTV technologies and working closely with front line and investigating officers. The post will vary from day to day and include the operation of CCTV vans used for operations and events across the Thames Valley. You will be part of a team responsible for the operation of over 400 cameras covering the key town centres and City within Oxfordshire.
We are seeking a highly capable individual with excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to engage confidently with colleagues at all levels as well as members of the public and partner organisations.
The ideal candidate will be well organised, able to prioritise effectively, and remain calm under pressure while meeting deadlines. A proactive approach and the ability to work independently using your own initiative are essential.
You will also have recent experience using a range of computer applications, including databases and Microsoft Office, along with a willingness to learn and adapt to new systems.
