Position Overview: This senior leadership role is responsible for procurement, planning, inventory management, logistics, and supplier performance across BGA’s global network. The Head of Purchasing and Supply Chain will lead transformational improvements, enhance operational efficiency, strengthen supplier relationships, and support BGA’s continued growth in the automotive aftermarket.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end supply chain strategy and Purchasing function to support operational and commercial growth.
- Oversee procurement, supplier management, and cost optimisation across global markets.
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies that optimise cost, quality, service, and availability.
- Manage demand planning, inventory, and material flow across the business.
- Drive efficiency in logistics, warehousing, and international distribution.
- Ensure compliance with quality, regulatory, and automotive industry standards.
- Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Lead, develop, and mentor a high-performing supply chain team.
About You
- Senior supply chain or Senior level Purchasing leadership experience in automotive, manufacturing, or similar sectors.
- Strong background in procurement, logistics, forecasting, and supplier performance.
- Skilled in ERP/MRP systems and data-driven decision making.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Proactive leader with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies that optimise cost, quality, service, and availability.
- Professional procurement qualifications and/or degree-level education in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business, or a related discipline would be advantageous.
