Patient Services/Admin Support
About us:
Sonia Morgan Podiatry is an established podiatry practice based in St Annes, having opened our purpose-built premises in August 2021. We are now looking for a reliable and experienced part-time member of our Patient Services team, being part of the wider team delivering first-class podiatry services to our clients. It is a very busy Practice and the hours, initially, would be around 16 per week (generally, Thursdays, Fridays and some Saturday mornings) but you will need to offer flexibility to cover absences, additional clinic hours and unexpected situations. Working hours are likely to increase over time in line with the needs of the Practice and increased clinic availability.
About you:
You will have good inter-personal skills and a can-do attitude. Our clients want to be met and greeted by someone who is polite, professional and helpful, so you will need to provide them with great service in person, over the phone or in writing, including email. You will have an eye for detail with good numeracy and literacy skills, be well-organised and able to work effectively whilst under pressure. You must be IT-literate and you will need a working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite and be experienced and comfortable working with IT systems in general (for example, the Practice's patient management system). You must be willing to learn about our business and to be an advocate of it - our reputation is key to our success!
It would be very helpful to your application and during the course of your work with us if you were to have had some experience of working in a medical environment.
Preference will be given to candidates who are located in the vicinity of the Practice.
If you are interested in working with us and you apply through the site, please ensure that you also:
- include a detailed covering letter
- ensure that your CV is included
- complete the assessment questions
We won't be taking forward applications that do not comply with this request.
Thanks for your interest.
Likely Working Schedule:
The clinic runs from Monday to Friday 08:00 - 17:00 (19:00 on Tuesdays) and most Saturday mornings; the working schedule of 16 hours may be allocated across any of those days/times but, in practice, there would be a regular schedule; as stated, however, we do need someone who can be flexible.
Annual leave is 5.6 weeks (inclusive of Bank Holiday) pro rated against actual hours worked.
