Senior Web Designer & Digital Consultant

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 DOE
Location: Tarporley, Cheshire (Office Based)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm

Are you a talented web designer who’s ready to take ownership of projects rather than simply designing pages?

Perhaps you’re currently designing websites but rarely get to influence strategy, meet clients or shape the final outcome.

At Digitally Disruptive, we’re looking for someone who can combine exceptional design skills with digital thinking, project management and client communication.

This is a role where you’ll guide projects from the very first client meeting through to launch, helping businesses create websites that don’t just look incredible, but generate enquiries, sales and measurable results.

About the role

This is far more than a traditional web design role.

You’ll become one of the key people within our agency, leading website projects from concept through to launch.

You’ll meet clients, understand their business, identify opportunities, create user-focused website designs, oversee development, ensure projects stay on schedule and ultimately deliver websites that perform.

While you’ll have front-end development skills and understand platforms such as WordPress and Shopify, your biggest strength will be your ability to design outstanding websites and manage projects from start to finish.

You’ll have genuine autonomy and play a key role in shaping the digital experiences we deliver for our clients.

What you’ll be doing

Meeting clients and understanding their business goals
Running website discovery sessions
Planning website structures and user journeys
Creating high-quality website designs and user interfaces
Designing landing pages focused on lead generation and conversions
Producing wireframes and prototypes
Creating responsive mobile-first designs
Project managing website builds from concept through to launch
Working closely with developers to ensure designs are implemented to a high standard
Carrying out website testing and quality assurance before launch
Advising clients on best practice and digital strategy
Managing multiple website projects simultaneously
Designing graphics and digital assets for websites and marketing campaigns
Supporting branding and creative projects where required
Using AI tools to improve creativity, productivity and efficiency

The skills we’re looking for

You’ll ideally have at least three years’ commercial experience and be comfortable presenting ideas directly to clients.

Essential skills include:

Exceptional website design skills
Strong UX and UI design experience
Excellent graphic design ability
Mobile-first responsive design
Wireframing and prototyping
High attention to detail
Outstanding communication skills
Strong project management skills
Experience with WordPress
Experience with Shopify
Experience using Figma, Adobe Creative Suite or similar design software
Front-end development knowledge including HTML, CSS and a basic understanding of JavaScript
Excellent understanding of website user journeys and conversion optimisation

It would also be beneficial if you have experience with:

SEO
Google Analytics 4 (GA4)
Google Tag Manager
Conversion tracking
Google Ads
Meta Ads
LinkedIn Ads
CRM platforms
WooCommerce
Website performance optimisation
Core Web Vitals
Website accessibility
API and CRM integrations
