Full job description

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Bookkeeper/Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. This role involves managing financial records, processing transactions, and supporting the organisation’s accounting functions. The ideal candidate will have experience with various accounting software and possess a strong understanding of accounts payable processes. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your career within a dynamic and professional environment.

Duties

Maintain accurate financial records using accounting software Sage, which is essential, Xero and Dext would also be advantageous.
Process accounts payable and receivable transactions efficiently and accurately
Reconcile bank statements and ensure all financial data is up-to-date
Support month-end and year-end closing procedures
Manage invoicing, billing, and expense tracking activities
VAT and CIS experience
Internal company recharges
Organise and file financial documents in accordance with company policies
Adhoc duties
Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or Accounts Assistant.
Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage is essential, Xero and Dext would also be advantageous.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in all work undertaken
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Pay: £26,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
