Room Leader - Toddler Room (2-4 Years)

We are looking for a warm, enthusiastic and experienced Room Leader to join our Little Explorers family and lead our lovely toddler room for children aged 2-4 years.
Little Explorers is an independent family run nursery and creating a genuine home from home environment is incredibly important to us. We want our children to feel happy, secure and loved while they are with us and we want our staff to feel equally valued and supported as part of our team.
We are looking for someone who shares those values and who will get to know the children, families and practitioners in their room really well.
The role
Our Room Leaders are an important part of our nursery team. You will lead the day to day running of the toddler room while working closely with your practitioners and our wider management team.
We are looking for someone who enjoys being involved in all aspects of nursery life. Someone who will be on the floor playing alongside the children, supporting their team, chatting with families at the end of the day and celebrating all those little achievements that make working in Early Years so rewarding.
You will:
- Lead and support the practitioners within your room
- Create a happy, nurturing and engaging environment for our children
- Build strong relationships with children and their families
- Support children's learning and development through their individual interests and needs
- Oversee planning, observations and assessments within the room
- Work alongside our SENCO and management team to support children with additional needs
- Help practitioners within your team to develop their confidence and skills
- Ensure safeguarding, health and safety and nursery procedures are followed
- Bring your own ideas and creativity to the room
- Work closely with the other Room Leaders and management team across the nursery
Who are we looking for?
You will need to hold a recognised Level 3 Early Years qualification or above and have a good understanding of the EYFS and safeguarding.
Previous Room Leader or senior practitioner experience would be beneficial, but we are also very happy to hear from an experienced Level 3 practitioner who feels ready to take that next step in their career.
More than anything, we are looking for the right person for our nursery.

We want someone who will take pride in their room, enjoy bringing new ideas to the setting and help us continue creating an environment where both children and staff are happy to come each day.

Pay: £26,000.00-£32,600.00 per year
