IT Procurement Administrator
Full time - 37 hours per week

Salary: £30,000-£40,000 (depending on experience)
We are seeking an experienced and highly organised IT Procurement Administrator to join our IT department. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in procurement, supplier management and contract administration who enjoys building relationships, maintaining robust processes and ensuring value for money across the organisation.
Working closely with IT leadership, suppliers and stakeholders across the business, you will play a key role in managing procurement activities, monitoring supplier performance and supporting the effective commercial operation of the IT function.

About the Role
Procurement will be the primary focus of this role, with responsibility for supporting the end-to-end procurement lifecycle across the IT department.
Key responsibilities include:
Procurement & Supplier Management
- Coordinating IT procurement activities, including raising and managing purchase orders, obtaining quotations and processing procurement requests.
- Acting as a key point of contact for suppliers and internal stakeholders throughout the procurement process.
- Supporting supplier onboarding and maintaining strong supplier relationships.
- Monitoring contract renewal dates and ensuring timely renewals or re-tendering activity where appropriate.
- Maintaining procurement records and ensuring compliance with internal purchasing procedures.
- Supporting negotiations and helping to identify opportunities for cost savings and value improvement.
Contract & Asset Administration
- Maintaining accurate records of contracts, software licences, supplier agreements and IT assets.
- Ensuring procurement and contract documentation is complete, current and easily accessible.
- Supporting contract governance and compliance activities.
Financial Administration & Reporting
- Processing invoices and reconciling supplier payments.
- Monitoring expenditure against budgets and supporting budget forecasting activities.
- Producing procurement, supplier and financial reports for IT leadership.
- Identifying spending trends and supporting effective financial management.
Operational Support
- Coordinating meetings, maintaining action logs and supporting governance activities.
- Arranging travel, training and other departmental requirements.
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance procurement efficiency and effectiveness.
About You
We are looking for someone who has:
- Proven experience in a procurement, purchasing or contract administration role.
- Experience managing purchase orders, supplier relationships, invoices and contract renewals.
- Strong commercial awareness and an understanding of procurement best practice.
- Experience supporting budget management, expenditure tracking and financial reporting.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Outstanding attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Previous experience within an IT, technology or technical procurement environment would be highly desirable.
