- Maintaining high standards across the reception team, particularly in relation to patient care, telephone manner, communication and administration
- Acting as a point of support for the receptionists when dealing with more complex patient queries or situations
- Identifying day-to-day issues within reception and resolving them where appropriate, escalating to the Operations Director when necessary
- Providing a welcoming, professional and efficient reception service
- Acting as a first point of contact for patients, both in person and by telephone
- Booking and managing appointments and responding to patient enquiries
- Providing clear and accurate information about the services offered by the clinic
- Managing emails and other patient communications promptly and professionally
- Maintaining accurate and confidential patient records
- Handling payments and cash accurately
- Monitoring and replenishing clinic and office stock
- Working closely with the Practice Manager to maintain efficient systems and procedures
- Supporting the implementation and ongoing review of Health & Safety procedures, including fire drills and associated record keeping
