Sports Coach (Part-Time) – After School Clubs & School Sport Delivery

Location: Middlesbrough & Stockton-on-Tees
Salary: £15.00 per hour
Job Type: Part-time, Permanent
Expected Hours: 10 hours per week
Start Date: September 2026

Full Job Description

Live It & Get Active CIC is looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and energetic Sports Coach to join our growing delivery team from September 2026.

This role involves delivering high-quality sports and physical activity sessions across primary schools in Middlesbrough and Stockton. Delivery will mainly take place during school afternoons and after-school club hours.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone passionate about working with children, coaching sport and creating positive experiences that build confidence, enjoyment and participation.

Responsibilities

Deliver engaging sports and physical activity sessions for primary-aged children
Lead after-school clubs and afternoon school sessions
Create a safe, inclusive and enjoyable environment
Encourage participation, teamwork and positive behaviour
Adapt activities for different ages and abilities
Set up and use equipment safely and professionally
Build positive relationships with schools, children and colleagues
Follow safeguarding, health and safety and company procedures
Represent Live It & Get Active CIC professionally at all times

Requirements

Experience working with children or young people
Passion for sport, coaching and child development
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Reliable, proactive and energetic approach
Ability to travel between school locations
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain)

Desirable

Coaching qualification (Level 1, Level 2 or equivalent)
Experience delivering in primary school settings
First Aid qualification
Experience delivering PE, after-school clubs or holiday provision
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle

Schedule
