We have an exciting new vacancy for a Receptionist to join our team at Trecarn Hotel, set in the quaint seaside town of Torquay this 126 room hotel is set slightly back from the hustle and bustle of the main attractions, near the idyllic Babbacombe Downs. The hotel boasts beautiful views of the town and the surrounding area of South Devon.and Ayr.

Your Job

Greet guests, visitors with a friendly and professional manner, creating the best first impression possible as they arrive at the hotel. .
Register guests and process their payments.
Respond to any inquiries guests may have about in-house facilities
Ensure the security of room keys.
Update all guest information in the computer system
Take and confirm reservations for guests over the telephone or via the front desk.

What we are looking for :

Someone that is passionate about delivering a first-class front of house experience to all guests and visitors.
Good communication skills both on the phone and in person.
A can-do attitude and willingness to go that extra mile
Understanding guest needs and handle delicate situations with empathy and intelligence
The ability to prioritise, multitask, and stay calm under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Work solo or part of a team.

The successful candidate will be organised, punctual and well-presented, with excellent communication and customer service skills. Knowledge of Opera systems would be advantageous but is not essential as full training will be given.
